A boundless array of fun for the young ones in and around The Dell

From cake munching to squirrel spotting, ziplines, safaris and more there's so much to see and do during your stay with us.

Some of our personal favourites include:

THE HIDDEN VALLEY

A two hour amble around Loch an Eileen, stopping to catch your echo at the castle or to enjoy a picnic on the shores while looking out for squirrels and crossbills. Onto Uath Lochans for giant tree dens, floating boardwalks and the best views in the valley.

WE'RE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT

Safari style adventure at the Highland Wildlife Park then board your time machine for an incredible window into the past at the Highland Folk Museum. Or if you are looking to be more adventurous, Landmark Forest Adventure Park is the place to go.

BEACH TIME

Head north to the beautiful Black Isle for Rock-pooling, beach cafe and dolphin spotting from Rosemarkie Beach. From here walk up the Faery Glen for waterfalls and magic wishing trees.

TOY TRAINS AND BIG MACHINES

East to Ballindalloch Castle for toy trains, llamas and sneaking around the castle. Picnic in the grounds and then onto the Knockando Woollen Mill and a look around the old looms and activities through the holidays.

ON THE DOORSTEP

Ranger walks, stone skimming, paddling in the Nethy, Osprey spotting at Loch Garten, Den building, Hobildigob Hunting, Zip-lining, Marshmallow toasting, Hide and Seek.

RAINY DAYS

All aboard the beautifully run Strathspey Steam Railway from Broomhill station just outside Nethybridge for a run through the hills to Aviemore for a choice of swimming, soft play, cinema, fish and chips then return on the train again with high tea and cakes.
